Overview

Karna is focused on providing science, research, technology and communications solutions and services to the Federal Government and other organizations focused on public health and development. We are excited to offer numerous opportunities for public health professionals to contribute in working in diverse fields, such as HIV/AIDS, W.A.S.H., Economic Development, Maternal & Child Health, Nutrition, Education, Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, and many others. We are looking for a variety of professionals with technical abilities such as epidemiology, data collection and analysis, training and development, laboratory science, and other disciplines in the international development field. Opportunities will vary from short-term consulting to longer-term employment.

Qualifications

In general, the qualifications include:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience, particularly in the regions of Sub-Saharan Africa, The Middle-East, South Asia, South East Asia, and South America
  • An advanced degree in public health, international development, or related technical field
  • Relevant cultural or critical language skills in the specific regions mentioned above
  • Particular preference in French, Arabic, Asian, or African languages
  • Experience working with CDC, USAID, OGAC, NGOs, and/or other multi-lateral organizations
  • Ability to legally work in the assigned country
