  • Overview

    Karna, LLC is seeking a Business Analyst responsible for the coordination and completion of assigned requirements, testing, and other project documents/artifacts needed to develop new IT systems. This position is on a government contract supporting the NIOSH World Trade Center Health Program.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinates and completes required information gathering and system documentation.
    • Conducts research and analyzes data, processes and systems related to assigned deliverables; develops and recommends workflows and system best practices.
    • Manages progress of deliverables and completes all assigned work within specified time frames in coordination with the project manager.
    • Creates and manages testing documentation, such as test cases and testing results, in coordination with the client and team members.
    • Maintains and updates project timeline with the Project Manager.
    • Establishes and maintains databases and other systems.
    • Works collaboratively with internal and external resources.
    • Provides team guidance and support in areas of Business Process Analysis, Software Testing, and User Acceptance Test as needed.
    • Possesses knowledge of Visio, PowerPoint and the Microsoft Office suite – advanced proficiency with these applications is preferred.
    • Assists Project Manager with organizational change management.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Three to five (3-5) years of experience as a Business Analyst; experience with CDC preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to use Business Process Mapping tools.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills in facilitating and working within cross-functional teams.
    • Experience working within a structured change management environment.
    • Training and/or end-user experience evaluation skills a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage deliverables.
    • Expert-level knowledge working with Microsoft Office products.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
    • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to confront and creatively manage conflict.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain required clearance as required.
    • Working knowledge of 508 compliance preferred.
    • Understanding of the World Trade Center Health Program and its underlying processes a plus.
