Overview

Karna is seeking a Public Health Analyst for work at the CDC on the COVID-19 response, specifically in the area of vaccine education and communication. The Public Health Analyst III will be tasked with leading and providing scientific support to research, implementation, and evaluation studies relating to health communication and social marketing.

 

*position is contingent upon contract award*

Responsibilities

  • Provide programmatic and scientific support to client subject matter experts and officials
  • Organize study files, including data and correspondence files
  • Oversee and develop data management systems under minimal supervision
  • Communicate with project areas regarding study activities and protocols
  • Analyze data for reports, presentations and publications
  • Assist in the review of study data for data quality
  • Perform scientific, medical and research literature searches in fields including but not limited to Behavioral and Social Sciences, Epidemiology, and Laboratory
  • Prepare slides for scientific presentations; provides analytic support to multi-disciplinary teams in order to accomplish public health research and program goals
  • Provide programmatic support to client subject matter experts and officials
  • Review and analyze studies and projects assessing major and or sensitive public health issues

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in public health, social science, health services research
  • Requires a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience
  • Experience performing basic data analysis and producing data reports
  • Experience providing technical assistance and partner communications
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Experience providing oral presentations to live audiences
  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office products
