Karna is seeking a Health Communications Specialist with a public health and policy background to provide technical expertise to the development and implementation of communication materials related to Global Health Security. The Health Communications Specialist will develop, write and edit new content for a variety of media and materials including: fact sheets, scientific articles, and talking points.

• Develop talking points for meetings with high level visitors and agency officials
• Inventory, maintain, and catalogue reference materials for internal and external communications
• Develop monthly updates on statuts of Global Health Security Agenda implementation
• Respond to data calls related to Ebola response and recovery and Global Health Security efforts
• Ensure communication activities are based on accepted principles, methods, and best practices  

• Master's Degree in Public Health or related field
• Two (2) years of previous experience in Health Communications
• Well-versed in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to produce high quality deliverables in a fast paced environment
• Experience applying social media marketing practices to mass communications
• Previous CDC experience preferred
• Graphic design skills
• Experience using Adobe InDesign or similar desktop publishing software
• Experience using Adobe Acrobat
• Must be located in Metro Atlanta area
