Overview

The Evaluation Specialist III will lead and conduct research and program evaluations with minimal supervision. This position is responsible for conducting all aspects of research and evaluation including, but not limited to, creating research and analysis plans, data collection, data analysis, and reporting.  S/he will also provide recommendations to client organizations to improve the organization’s mission performance and provide strategic advice on the development and execution of programs to implement solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create, write, and manage evaluation plans for a multifaceted health communications project aimed at increasing COVID-19 vaccine confidence
  • Lead and participate in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data as well as social media metrics; provide analytic support to junior team members, as needed
  • Lead the OMB/IRB process for data collection, as required
  • Responsible for the writing and editing of routine and ad-hoc research and evaluation reports for diverse stakeholders
  • Prepare and edit visual presentations of data and information for dissemination including, charts, graphs, tables, etc.
  • Contribute to publications and other dissemination products that share evaluation findings and results
  • Supervise, lead, and mentor junior level researchers and evaluators
  • Author white papers, concept papers, briefs, articles, and other publications for the dissemination of research and evaluation findings and results
  • Contribute to business development activities, such as providing technical expertise and writing proposals and grants

Qualifications

 

  • Master's degree required in public health, social science, or related field
  • At least six (6) years of post-graduate experience
  • Experience with training and capacity building in monitoring and evaluation skills among project team, partners, and stakeholders
  • Experience conducting process and outcome evaluations, needs assessments, environmental scans, impact assessments, and cost-benefit analysis
  • Proficient using qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methodologies
  • Experience with quantitative, qualitative and data visualization and analysis software products (e.g., SPSS, SAS, STATA, R, ArcGIS, NVivo, Atlas.ti, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience working with CDC preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities with strong attention to detail, organization, and efficient time management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Atlanta location preferred (hybrid), but remote candidates will be considered based on qualfications
