Overview

The Production Planner will be responsible for providing general warehousing services at The Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command (NEMSCOM), with a focus on maintaining and repairing containers, biomedical equipment, and civil engineering equipment (CEE). The role involves the production of Deployable Medical Systems (DEPMEDS), ensuring strict compliance with assembly and packing plans provided by the Government. The Production Planner will contribute to the development and implementation of a warehouse strategy for local on-site production, storage, and rapid deployment of DEPMEDS platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments.
  • Revise production schedules as needed due to design changes, labor/material shortages, backlogs, or interruptions.
  • Collaborate with management, production, or engineering for schedule adjustments.
  • Review documents to determine personnel/material requirements or priorities.
  • Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies/parts to expedite material flow and meet production schedules.
  • Confer with personnel, vendors, or customers to coordinate production/shipping activities and resolve issues.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective manufacturing and distribution.
  • Understanding of customer service principles and processes.
  • Familiarity with administrative procedures, office systems, and business management principles.
  • Ability to organize things or actions according to specific rules or patterns.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum three (3) years of hands-on production scheduling in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to pass a NACI background investigation and acquire a CAC Card.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
